Zim finally kidded! And she had triplets! she had two boys and a girl. The firstborn boy is to be called Colt. I haven't decided on the secondborn boy or the girl. I'm thinking that I'll call the girl either Clarissa or Candle. Yuo know what's weird? The spellcheck on this thing says that the last three letters of "Clarissa" is spelled wrong. o.O. Oh well, back to the point. This is Zim's first kidding when she had more than one! I'm very, very happy right now. I will post pics as soon as I get them.

YESTERDAY I DID SOMETHING DRASTIC.
Something I hadn't done in years.
Something I probably will avoid for the rest of my life.
I (wait for it.........)
Wore a dress.
No, it's true.
I really did wear a dress.
I'm not fond of dresses. You can't bend over, or sit in the dirt, or run really fast.
Don't get me wrong, dresses can look nice.
I just don't like to look nice all that often.
I'd rather play in the dirt.
I like dirt.
It's very nice.
I haven't worn a dress in........7 years? A very long time. My mom used to be fine with it, but now she thinks I have to look "proper", and apparently this includes dressing up more than I feel even remotely comfortable with.
But enough of this talk!
umm.....I don't really have much else to speak of....
I got two new CDs in the mail.....
OH I know.
I learned how to shoot a shotgun last Wednesday. IT WAS AWESOME.
Unfortunately, the recoil kept making me jump. I think I can attach a video my brother took of me. (He's the one who taught me to shoot).
Again, very awesome.

This the second time EVER I fired a shotgun. I had only fired Beebee (How do you spell that???) guns before.

My Girl Scout troop Went fishing from Friday-Saturday afternoon, and I caught 2 fish. Of course, I had to wake up at 6 in the morn to do it, but.....It was worth it. While we did not eat mine, we did eat one of the other girl's bigger catch and we had a stash of storbought fish to gut and cook. That was fun. I got to scrape the scales of the fish, cut off it's head, and dig out all of the guts with my finger. IT WAS AWESOME.
They tasted good.
Of course, the first thing I did when I got home was take a shower (because while the smell of fish does not bother me, my hands smelling like something other than my hands does happen to bother me).
Well.........Ruby had kids, we named the Boy Cosmo and we haven't given the girl a name yet. They are both healthy. Jane and Randy (That's Valerie's buck) have grown fast, even though they don't seem much bigger, they are MUCH stronger, and faster, and more hyper. Whatever you do, NEVER lie down on the ground with them around. Bad things happen......
That's it until I come up with something else in my life to post about.....

Alright, Long story today to cover the last two days of my farm life:
It's started on February 28th, When Valerie(a seven year old doe known for having ill kids) started not coming in for dinner and just generally lying down all day. On March 1st, she started the kidding process. Unfortunately, by that evening she was clearly in pain, there was probably a dead kid inside of her and Annie( a doe a couple years old and never kidded) started kidding too. We had the vet sit with Valerie for a while and she didn't get much better. The next morning (Yesterday morning...It seems like a really long time ago) the vet, my mom and my grandma went down to have surgery on Valerie. So basically, they cut open her stomach and pulled the babies out. The doe was dead, but the buck was still alive (although very weak) and so we put him into the house to get warm. (As a side note, Annie and Valerie both have CAE. I'm not quite sure what it is, but it transmits through mucus and milk, so we had to separate the babies at birth anyways)As another side note, stitches, for some reason or another, creep me out. By the time Valerie's surgery was done, Annie was kidding. She had one little girl, and so we took her inside to feed her. We were sure that Annie was done kidding. We were wrong. Two hours later we came out and there were two dead babies. We don't know why they were dead. My mom and grandmother spent the rest of the afternoon with Valerie, who was not doing well at all. I spent the afternoon with the Kids. (The doe's name is Calamity Jane, since her mom was Annie Get your Gun and her grandma was Kiss me Kate. The Buck isn't named yet, but his name needs to start with a C. Farm tradition) Yesterday evening Valerie died. I suppose it's better than the condition she was in, but it's still not happy news... The Kids however will live ( as of yet; you never can tell with Valerie's kids). Well I guess that's all I have to say....I will post pictures tomorrow of Jane and the boy.
